Skinhead

Yet another Purgatory Sketch Club challenge, this time crime world was the subject. So I decided to go with a skinhead. Bald, fat, and old people are fun to draw. I liked it except for the way the hand ended up looking. He was supposed to be doing the salute but instead he looks like he's raising his hand. Oh well. I think I'm getting better at the coloring though, It only took 2 hours and a half to complete from start to finish.

Hey, Mag,

I would've never thought to do "skinhead" for such a challenge (iT's beCUZ IM WHITE! HA hA!) Seriously, tho, it's a cool idea and the sketch is pretty cool, too.

The reason why the salute looks weird is because the guy's thumb is sticking out, rather than parallel with the other fingers.

I find that sometimes when I look at sketch I've done that I'm unhappy with, I wish I'd taken the time to do a little research, like do a google search or something to get to know what I'm about to draw. You could YouTube some Nazi videos before you draw to see the imagery, for in this instance of course.

All in all, I think your color choices are pretty good, although this sketch is more cartoonish. I especially liked your Medusa, so whatever made that sketch work for you I'd say go in that direction.

thanks dude, you know what's sad is that I actually used reference, thing is I just did the tricep too long which makes it look straight intead of being at an angle. I appreciate the feedback though
